Description
Average adult males weigh between 70 and 130 pounds, with females weighing in at between 55 and 95 pounds. Fur is a light hue in winter and reddish-yellow in the summer.
Diet
Amur leopards prey on deer, wild boar and small mammals.
Location
Amur River valley of Siberia and Manchuria, Korea.
Habitat
Temperate forests.

The Amur leopard can run at speeds of 37 miles per hour for short periods of time. They are good climbers and nocturnal animals.
Numbers
The Amur leopard has a wild population of 55 individuals. There are around 200 captive Amur leopards registered worldwide.
Threat
Habitat destruction, loss of prey species, poaching for the fur trade and trophy hunting have all contributed to the decline of the Amur leopard.
